Friday update
1:20 a.m. - 2005-08-20
(WHY is the anti-diet ring URL not showing up??) Another good day! We had "snack cart" at work as we do every Friday--they give us free soda and candy and stuff. I took a Diet Coke, banana, and packet of cookies. I was thirsty so I opened the soda right away, but I didn't eat the banana until I felt hungry a few hours later. And I haven't even opened the cookies! I will save them for a treat sometime when I really want them. Then tonight I went out to dinner with a friend and did decently then, too. I had a roll because I love Bertucci's rolls, and then less than 1/2 of my calzone. I was full so I stopped and took the rest home! Sorry to be so excited but it's a great feeling. I haven't mentioned it much but I have been keeping up with my exercise plan. This week I've gone for five quick walks and two long walks (the "extra" thing) and done crunches all four nights so far. I will do my crunches again tonight and then whatever I do this weekend is just for fun! I do want to try to be active, though, because I am slowly learning that I actually do feel better that way. I have noticed that when I look in the mirror, I am already starting to look thinner/prettier/more grown-up to myself. I'm sure it's all in my head but it's nice! I feel healthier so have more self-confidence, etc. And that good feeling will just inspire me to keep going!
